DesignGateway™ 2D/3D Design Integration Solutions

Today’s 3D solid model applications are highly sophisticated but 2D drawings are still required for many functions within a company and often with suppliers and contract manufacturers. DesignGateway™ bridges the gap between the two, enabling 2D design applications and 3D solid modelers to communicate without need of a separate step to translate data to an intermediate format such as IGES, STEP or DXF.

This enables users of CADRA® or AutoCAD® to utilize their wealth of existing 2D drawings to generate sketches for their 3D modelers. In addition, directly within the 2D application, users can easily harness the 3D modeling data to create drawings, including standard, section and auxiliary views, without having to master the complexities of the 3D applications.
