CADRA RELEASE BULLETIN -- Version 10.4.6 ================================================================ Cadra Version 10.4.6 is a maintenance release that addresses the following SPR reported against Cadra Version 10.4.0. This patch includes maintenance releases for Version 10.4.2 - 10.4.5. ================================================================ SPR 51849 --------- PROBLEM: Intermittently, when a user tries to open and save a file to a network, the error message "file is locked by another process" appears. SOLUTION: Users can update the CADRA.INI file so that Cadra will attempt a specified number of retries, each separated from the next retry by a specified time, when a sharing violation occurs as a result of a file open request. To implement the solution, add the following variables to the CADRA.INI file: CREATEFILE_WAIT_TIME= CREATEFILE_WAIT_RETRIES= CREATEFILE_WAIT_DISPLAY=1 DEFAULTS: The defaults are: TIME defaults to 200 milliseconds RETIRES defaults to 2 DISPLAY defaults to OFF If DISPLAY is defined it will display a message box if the file locking CreateFile call gets an error that includes the status from the followup retries. In this way, users can to verify whether there are lock errors, and if the retires are working.
