Raytheon's ELCAN Optical Technologies Selects SofTech's ProductCenter PLM
ProductCenter Raises Bar Again by Rapidly Deploying a Robust, Cost Effective PLM System, Including Legacy Data Migration and System Integration in Two-Week PilotTEWKSBURY, Mass. — March 24, 2005 — SofTech, Inc. (OTCBB: SOFT), a proven provider of product lifecycle management solutions, announced that its ProductCenter™ PLM (product lifecycle management) solution was selected by ELCAN Optical Technologies®, part of The Raytheon Company, and leading provider of precision optical and electronic solutions for industrial, medical, defense and commercial customers.
ELCAN selected ProductCenter PLM after the successful completion of a pilot program that involved migrating extensive legacy data from the company’s older Metaphase data management solution to ProductCenter. With competing PLM solution providers set to charge extraordinarily high service and consulting fees for the migration of this data to their software, SofTech implemented its ProductCenter PLM solution and completed the data migration on budget in just two weeks. The success of the pilot again clearly demonstrates ProductCenter’s ease of implementation and ability to jumpstart business benefit and return on investment.
