Fibertek had primarily specialized in research and development (R&D) but is strategically expanding its business to encompass low rate manufacturing. Prior to purchasing and implementing ProductCenter, Fibertek had managed its product data and changes through paper processes and computer files. The recent move to manufacture and service their products necessitated further automation of their product design and development processes, centralized control of their product data, and more closely integrated development and manufacturing operations, which led to Fibertek’s choice of ProductCenter.
